While Samsung has released various foldable smartphones over the past few years, Apple has not yet set foot in the foldable space. While there have been various rumours about the company working on a foldable device in the past few years, Apple has not confirmed the launch of any such device.

Now a Chinese tech enthusiast has posted a video on Twitter that shows a foldable iPhone built by a craftsman. As per Ben Geskin(@BenGeskin), a craftsman from China has redesigned and built an iPhone 13 Pro into a foldable device.
While the bottom half is home to the motherboard with the chip and memory, the top houses the battery, sensors, and cameras. Additionally, the hinges were used from a Moto Razr 2020 and the body had to be 3D printed.

As seen in the video, the design of the modified iPhone looks surreal and the device is functional. However, the screen seems to be fragile which is expected from such a project. However, it is worth thinking that if a craftsman with minimum resources could achieve this feat with no outside funding, how long before Apple releases a full-fledged foldable iPhone?
